AZIZA, a multi-award winning artist who splits her time between the Pacific Northwest and Quebec, has dedicated herself completely to learning, performing and sharing the ancient art form of Middle Eastern dance. Aside from performing, AZIZA brings a bounty of experience and many influences to her teaching style. She has grown rapidly in popularity and is in high demand all over the world.
AZIZA will begin her visit to Santa Cruz with the first ever West Coast Intensive Weeklong Workshop! The weeklong workshop will be held at Dance Odyssey Studio from November 3-7. Then, we'll transition right into the Seventh Annual Luna Gitana Belly Dance Festival which will feature AZIZA as its headliner!

Weeklong workshop participants are automatically included in the Friday night Live Music Show -- but we expect to have some slots available. We will also have performance opportunties throughout the weekend.

Vendor load-in will be from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, November 7. Vendors who wish to be inside the ballroom must register for all three days. We have a few "one-day" spaces available in the lobby area. Because the Veteran's Memorial Building is occupied by a non-profit agency, they require a portion of sales go to the non-profit. This year, we have included that amount in your vending fees and will pay the Association on your behalf.
Early vendor registration will include a dance spot on Saturday or Sunday. In addition, we hope you will participate in our "fashion" shows (you provide the models!).
We are so pleased to offer a new hotel option for our out-of-town guests! The Capitola Inn (located mid-Santa Cruz County) offers a full continental breakfast. Rooms with a King sized bed are $99 + tax; 2 Queen sized beds are $108 + tax. Ask for the Bellydance Odyssey rate. Please understand that because Santa Cruz is a popular tourist destination, you need to book your rooms early! We do not recommend hotels along the beach corridor in Santa Cruz. If you are unable to book at the Capitola Inn for some reason, we recommend the Scotts Valley Hilton or the Seacliff Inn.
The deadline to submit program ads is October 15, 2008. We accept most formats but prefer PDF documents. Artwork should be emailed to Vashti. We can also design your program ad for $50 (per ad).
Quarter page ads (3 x3.5 inches) are $60
